Location: Castlewood Library, 6739 S. Uinta St., Centennial, CO 80112.
Starting Salary: Starting at $16.34 per hour, plus benefits.
Hours: 20-hour, part-time, non-exempt position. Must be able to work the following schedule, including occasional flexibility, required:

Assists patrons in the use of the library by delivering outstanding and personalized service in all areas.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
50% PATRON ASSISTANCE – Proactively assists patrons by giving directions, checking the catalog and shelf for requested items, helping patrons with use of online catalogs, databases and their functions; opening of library accounts, demonstrating the use of self-check, and collecting fines and fees in order to satisfy requests for basic services.
30% ASSISTANCE WITH TECHNOLOGY - Assists patrons by providing assistance with library technology and common consumer technologies, such as smart phones, tablets, e-book readers, laptops, troubleshooting, web browsing, printing, and acquiring digital library materials such as e-books and downloadable audiobooks in order to satisfy patron technology needs.
10% SERVICE DELIVERY & PROGRAMMING - As assigned, implements programs and services, including but not limited to merchandising the collection and arranging material, storytimes, computer training for patrons, intermediate reference and reader's advisory, weeding assigned collection areas and identifying collection and/or shelving problems in order to deliver system-wide programs and services for Library Services.
10% SUPERVISOR ASSISTANCE – Acts as the person-in-charge (PIC), as needed, in order to assist the supervisor.

2. PATRON ASSISTANCE - Effective proactive assistance in basic library services.
3. ASSISTANCE WITH TECHNOLOGY - Effective assistance in the use of technology.
4. SERVICE DELIVERY & PROGRAMMING - Effectively delivered service and programs.
5. SUPERVISOR ASSISTANCE - Effective assistance to the supervisor.
Two years to five years of similar or related experience, preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of technology trends, including tablet functionality, smart phones, e-readers, social networking and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of informational databases, preferred.
Bachelor's degree, preferred.
Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends required.
Intermediate technology skills, including intermediate assessment scores for Windows, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Outlook, required.
Ability to conduct programming in front of varying groups and demographics, preferred.
Ability to be mobile 100% of the time and sit as needed; ability to bend, stoop, reach, and push a loaded wheeled book truck weighing up to 100 pounds, 10% of the time, required.
